Rebecca’s experience as a psychologist extends over 20 years. She has been in private practice for 12 years.

Rebecca works with clients using the following therapies Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing.

Rebecca works collaboratively with adult clients to gain insights and develop strategies. Clients will develop skills to navigate life’s challenges. Rebecca has a special interest in Workplace Injury and NDIS.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need a referral to see a psychologist?

You can see a psychologist without a referral.

What are the consultation fees?

The individual consultation fee is $220.

How long is the session?

Sessions are booked for One Hour.

What is the cancellation policy?

Clients are requested to cancel 48 hours before their appointment. The cancellation fee of $150 will be charged.

Are psychological treatments covered by Private Health Funds?

Private health funds cover psychology services under the “extras” category. It is helpful to contact the fund directly to clarify details regarding the rebate per session and the limit.

How does Medicare cover the fees?

A Mental Health Plan from the GP under the Better Access is necessary. The initial GP referral will be for 6 sessions. On completion of the six sessions, additional sessions can be requested. The GP in consultation with the psychologist and client can provide a further referral. Each calendar year access to 10 sessions is provided. The Medicare rebate for an appointment with a psychologist is $92.90 (2023)

How does the therapy process work?

After an initial assessment and the administrations of a test, a treatment plan will be created. The plan will offer the client the opportunity to discuss the expectations of therapy, and timeframe of the treatment plan.
